Autumn is one of four temperate seasons on this planet, characterized as the season of harvests and changing color in vegetation. Leaves change color from green to red, yellow, purple, and brown due to decreasing levels of chlorophyll sent to them through the veins. Many communities experience an increase in tourism to see fall foliage vistas which is sometimes called leaf peeping.
