Textract Screen Text Capture Library allows to copy text from Windows screen, under control of another program. Contains DLL, console mode EXE and use examples. Software QA departments can use Textract to capture text from testing application and compare this text with intended screen content. Textract is also well suited for corporate environment as an application connectivity tool, to feed some application with text from another text 'source' application. Textract is especially useful if this source application is a third-party, or cannot be changed, or hard and time-wasting to change, and has no adequate embedded support for communication. Based on the Direct Klepting technology, specific Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology for recognition of rasterised text from computer screen. Thus, Textract can capture the text from any part of any application, even from clipboard and OLE-unaware applications, for example from folder trees, file lists, database reports, text content of messages and dialog boxes, menus, status lines, legacy systems.
